Writing my video script taught me something I hadn’t really noticed before: I talk a lot more casually than I write! I thought my video would sound fine if I just wrote down what I wanted to say, but once I started reading it out loud, it sounded stiff and too formal.
So I had to re-write it like I was talking to a friend. This helped me learn how important it is to sound natural and real—especially if I want people to connect with me.
Now, before finishing any script, I read it out loud and ask myself, “Would I say this in real life?” It’s such a simple trick, but it makes a big difference in how my videos feel.
