How do we use this article of faith to guide our decisions in what we create and consume?
Article of Faith 13 says we believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men. This has helped me so much when it comes to the content I consume and create.
For example, on social media, I try to follow pages that lift me up and inspire me, not ones that make me feel insecure or push bad values. I also try to share content that’s positive, clean, and respectful. Even when I’m making funny videos, I ask myself: Would this make someone feel bad or would it help them smile?
One time I was editing a video where I was making jokes about a frustrating day. I almost posted a clip where I made fun of someone, but I remembered this article of faith and deleted it. I want my content to reflect the kind of person I am trying to become—someone who does good and spreads light.
